What is the maximum class size? 

TK- is 14 students, K- is 14 students, 1st-3rd is 18 students.

LLA is proud of our program structure which includes a Director of Programming. Our D.O.P is a support and an extra hand for children and teachers when needed.

 

How is each grade level different? 

LLA is three separate components. Tk, K, and First through third grades all follow their own schedule and program specifics, and are separate classes with different teachers.

 

What grade levels are available at BCS? 

Lighthouse Literacy Academy is a primary school serving children grade transitional  kindergarten, kindergarten, first, second and third grade. 

 

Is LLA affiliated with/subsidized by Crossline Church or any other particular church or denomination?  

No, LLA is not affiliated or subsidized by Crossline Church or any other church. LLA is an independent non-denominational primary education program. LLA leases classrooms from Crossline Church, and has a great relationship with the church.

 

Can a student enroll in the Summer School or Vacation Bible School if they do not attend Lighthouse Literacy Academy during the traditional school year?

Priority Enrollment in our Summer school and Vacation Bible school is reserved for LLA’s current students until May 30th of each school year. After May 30th enrollment is opened to siblings and families in the community. 

 

Does LLA provide lunches ands snacks?

No, parents are responsible for both the a.m. snack as well as packing a lunch for their students. Cold lunch is necessary. An ice pack is recommended. 

 

Does LLA use a year round school calendar? 

See link to our calendar. LLA is a traditional school with the option to enroll in our Summer School and Vacation Bible School.

 

What are LLA’s hours?

School starts at 8:55 am and dismissal is at 3pm. LLA has an optional before school club 7:00-8:55 and an optional after school enrichment club 3:00-5:30.  Enrollment in each is necessary.
